The start of the drive home was in a rain/hail storm. Luckily it eased up and had just rain and then no rain by the time we were home. Hail on a car roof is LOUD! Surprisingly, Lexi slept through it. When we took the off ramp to our house the opposite side of the road was blocked off by police cars - we then got to watch as 8 busloads of Fort Carson soldiers were police escorted back to the base after being gone for a year. Very touching to watch the men and women who have been away fighting for our freedom returning home.
