Signs of Summer

Buzz cuts for the boys. This is our balcony salon.

The "after" photo- still somewhat silly.
And bags packed for vacation that starts tomorrow! These are the kids toy backpacks and they lined them up like this all on their own. Ready for departure!
We have quite a trip planned. We drive north and stay one day in Wyoming, then on to Spokane and Seattle, then down to California and eventually back to Colorado. Thankfully the kids are pretty good car travelers and we are really looking forward to our summer vacation. (Lexi keeps getting the season summer confused with her new cousin baby summer and all evening has been saying, "we're coming baby summer!!" She can't wait to hold her baby summer.

Final Day as a First Grader

The French Panda's

Two goofballs, I was trying to get a "before" photo. They love to act silly and then look at themselves on the digital camera.
Josh chose Red Robin as his restaurant for this evening.

Tatooing

When I asked her about all the drawing on her legs she said, "the boys did it" I thought she was lying, but when I asked the boys they said, yes, they had done some because Lexi wanted them too.

She also now has pretty toes and fingernails. And she likes her fancy sandals. They are sparkly.

Her hair is long enough now for a ponytail! AND she actually let me put one in. Usually she says no to me doing her hair. It was about coming out by this point, but was very cute!

Just What I Did Not Need

Last night sitting in line at the drive up bank teller the car in front of me decided to back up and their lovely toe hitch made a nice dent in our front bumper. So instead of focusing on my long list of to-do's today I got to spend ample time on the phone, trading cars with Dave at work and taking it in for an estimate.

Plasterer Boot Camp

Not far from the playground area is this great little path/work-out area. The kids had a blast.

She found a larger dancing stage than our little coffee table.

Lexi really wanted to climb up like brother Josh did (and brother Zach eventually figured it out too)
She finally found a way...she was doin it herself and those rungs were pretty far apart for her
Pretty proud of herself is she does say so!

This was a deer we saw in a nearby neighborhood as we left. We got to see it jump or prance or whatever you might call it- the kids liked that.
A litte detour through part of Cheyenne Mountain Park- very pretty
I thought we came upon the zoo or some other nature center type place, but no, it was just someone's front lawn. Interesting.

Bear Creek Park

Another beautiful day Sunday evening so while Dave had to work the kids and I took Subway for dinner and had some play time in the great outdoors and sunshine.

Josh really wanted a picture of himself jumping so with the beauty of digital and 10 pictures later we finally got one.
