Christmas Day

A note from Santa

Rico got some doggie snacks he was pretty interested in

They had picked these badmitton sets out for each other at the dollar store

another failed attemp at getting a picture of the 3 of them (there were 2 besides thes 2)
a princess necklace and a ring pop = happy little girl

the boys were downstairs trying out the new wii games nearly before Lexi was done opening her gifts

robot VS. t-rex
trying out his new artists set
Zach getting an "autograph" and stickers placed in his bakugon sticker book
the note from Santa was a pretty big deal it warranted a call to a friend and placement on the robot. Although I don't think Lexi was fond of it because we found it waded up at one point by her and now it is missing altogether. Santa wasn't her favorite even this year.

Time for snacks and watching Ice Age 3

Happy Birthday to Jesus
It was a relaxing, stay in jammies, play with new toys and watch new movies day.

Xmas Eve

Dinner at the Frye's
Lexi wanted to pray- she likes to say thank you for each person in the room

the kids- 8 of them! (the Frye's cousins were there too)
the plasterers & Frye's exchanged giftsand a few more were opened while the adults were not looking (Leighton opened a remote control car and Lexi had started tearing into one of the girls presents..)
a little time relaxing (equals calming down time)
the little ones
then back at home they were tired, but not too tired or forgetful that they missed out on opening one gift

Josh made sure to get the cookies, milk and reindeer food ready
and a little christmas eve love for Rico
after someone stayed up a bit later, the kids were nestled snug in their beds and the gifts and stockings were ready

A White Christmas for Colorado Springs

We awoke to this today...

Came at the perfect time for my parents to travel unhindered by snow and for us to enjoy a white christmas! Lots of sledding, snowball fights and snowman making over the next couple days! Today's christmas activity was for them to shop for a present for their siblings. We ventured down the street to the dollar store and walked around together then I took each one to go pick something out for the other two. They had fun but before we left for the store Zach told me, "Make sure Lexi doesn't get me any girl stuff!"

Seven Falls @ Night

In December they have a few nights where you can get into 7 Falls for free and they have it lit up with lights and decorations, so we bundled up got out all the headlights & flashlights and went to check it out.

You can take an elevator up to check out the falls and canyon from above. It was a bit scary up there- especially at night.
Lexi much prefered all the shiny polished rocks in the little gift shop at top.

Santa & Mrs. Claus were there too- Lexi did not want to sit on his lap or talk to him, but ventured close enough to grab a candy cane from Mrs. Claus.
the lights kept changing color and looked very cool on the mostly, but not totally, frozen falls

These three decided to start up the stairs a bit that led to the top of the falls
not long at all til they headed back down! They say it was Josh that wanted to turn around, however, neither of the other 2 headed back up again- hmmm.
