We started at a tree farm/alpaca farm Sat. in Black Forest to search for the Plasterer Christmas tree 09. It was a beautiful day- chilly, but sunny and nice- the warmest day the week prior or after.
The kids had a blast and spent about 95% of the time throwing snowballs at everyone
The other 5%- eating snow
We loved the experience of walking around, checking out the trees, the alpaca's, the beauty of the area, throwing snow, eating snow- however, there was not a decent tree to be found that was worthy of our $30 soooooo...
we headed here... to Home Depot
found an awesome tree lickity split
had it fresh cut, netted and on the roof of the van in no time
Maybe next year we'll go the more all natural look, but we will spend $10 to cut one down in the forrest rather than the $30 at the farm. Then again, maybe we'll just stick with Home Depot.
