Josh has been talking about wanting to make Rico a dog house for quite awhile so he took it upon himself to start gathering wood from around the backyard (we found out later after Rico escaped to the front twice that some of it had been covering holes in the fence behind the big Juniper trees) and made this teepee style dog house for him:) Of course Rico never goes in:(

Did some brats on the tiny grill we got for $3 and after a smore tried an idea from a friend of warming the banana with chocolate and marshmallow in it- yum!

Rico turned 4 years old!! Got a bone and some bacon treats!

The boys did VBS at our church all last week. It was a great program and they had fun.

I helped with the BBQ lunch that was held on Friday for all the kids and family.

And of course there has been plenty of unpacking, cleaning, and grocery shopping. We are also heading to the library once a week to get books and movies and take part in their summer reading program. And enjoying the summer afternoon thunderstorms. It has rained almost everyday, however it is usually later in the day for just about 10-20 min. Just enough to cool things down, water the lawn and provide some lightening and thunder entertainment. Something different for these SoCal folks!
